It involves the insertion of very thin needles through the skin at strategic points, a method based on principles which aim to achieve balance and harmony within the body.

CONCEIVE CLINIC
Conceive is a specialised acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine clinic.
Established in 2007 by acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, Claire Battersby, it specialises in male and female infertility, miscarriage, IVF support, pregnancy care, gynaecological disorders and all aspects of women’s health.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a science-based profession taking a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing, and includes the patient’s lifestyle. At its core is patient involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy treating injuries and conditions which affect the muscles, joints, and soft tissues. Treatment involves an assessment, diagnosis, and then an agreed treatment plan with goal-setting, in order to achieve optimal outcomes. All dependent on patient needs, input can vary from assessment and advice alone to longer-term rehabilitation.

osteopathy
Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person’s muscles and joints. It is a system of diagnosis and treatment for the whole person. When the body is properly balanced and efficient – like a well-tuned engine – you feel happier and healthier.
Using the principles of Osteopathy a very wide variety of conditions can be helped including: Aches and Pains; Back Pain/backache; Strains & Sprains; Muscle Tension/spasms/cramps; Sports Injuries; Rheumatic and Arthritic Pain; Circulatory Problems, Digestion Problems; Neuralgia/Sciatica; Stress/Anxiety/Tension; TMJ (jaw) disorders; Reintegration after accidents, falls or injury.
Each treatment is individually tailored, after explanation of the diagnosis and discussion about the treatment and the patients needs. Selected combination of one, two or more of these techniques usually proves highly effective. The patient may require one or two treatments or a longer course of treatments.
